Iseng-iseng pengen nulis diblog lagi nih. Sekalian buat ngumpulin tugas makul softskill saya. Tapi ga tau deh masih diterima apa ga nih ama dosennya. Mudah-mudahan masih diterima deh. Hehehe..

Kali ini saya pengen sharing tentang Nanotechnology yang dari bulan-bulan kemarin ada dipikiran saya tapi belum sempet saya tuangkan ke dalam tulisan.

Perkembangan teknologi di dunia saat ini memang luar biasa pesat. Persaingan bisnis terus memacu perusahaan-perusahaan untuk terus mengembangkan dan menciptakan produk-produk yang luar biasa canggih. Ide-ide brillian dari para jenius teknologi terus menelurkan karya-karyanya. Nah saya juga sedikit pengen ‘menelurkan’ ide saya untuk perkembangan teknologi walaupun saya bukanlah seorang yang jenius. Saya hanya mahasiswa biasa yang bermimpi ingin seperti jenius-jenius teknologi yang sudah ada sekarang. Hehehe..

Teknologi yang ingin saya kembangkan adalah produk teknologi di bidang komunikasi. Produk teknologi ini saya beri nama Paper Public Handphone (PPH). Apa itu PPH?? PPH atau Paper Public Handphone adalah suatu produk teknologi yang memudahkan seseorang untuk berkomunikasi dengan siapa saja dan dimana saja dengan menggunakan handphone berbentuk kertas. Hah?? Handphone berbentuk kertas?? Maksudnya?? Ya. Handphone berbentuk kertas ini bukan terbuat dari kertas biasa lhoo. Handphone kertas ini terbuat dari kertas buatan Jepang yaitu Washi. Washi adalah kertas yang dibuat secara tradisional Jepang yang memiliki serat lebih panjang sehingga dapat dibuat lebih tipis namun tahan lama dan kuat (tidak mudah lusuh ataupun robek). Handphone kertas ini layaknya handphone pada umumnya. Terdapat tombol-tombol angka yang tipis yang digunakan untuk memasukkan nomor telepon yang ingin dihubungi. Juga terdapat layar monochrome tipis berukuran 240x320pixel. Namun pada Handphone kertas ini tidak terdapat kamera, bluetooth, maupun fasilitas lainnya yang sering dijumpai pada handphone-handphone saat ini.

Terus maksudnya Public apa dong?? Nah itu dia. Public disini maksudnya adalah Handphone kertas ini digunakan sebagai fasilitas umum layaknya telepon umum yang dulu sering digunakan. Fasilitas umum disini maksudnya bukan satu Handphone kertas tersebut dipake buat orang banyak. Namun mesin pencetak Handphone kertas inilah yang bersifat ‘fasilitas umum’. Ya, Handphone kertas ini dapat digunakan dengan mencetaknya melalui mesin pencetak yang terdapat di banyak tempat umum. Dengan memasukkan Access Card (untuk yang pengguna berlangganan) ataupun koin kedalam mesin pencetak tersebut maka mesin tersebut akan mencetak sebuah Handphone kertas. Kalau mengacu pada telepon umum yang dulu sering digunakan kita kan hanya dapat berkomunikasi ditempat telepon umum itu berada saja. Kemudian apabila kita ingin berkomunikasi yang sifatnya pribadi agak susah di telepon umum dulu karena banyaknya pengguna lain yang sudah mengantri ingin menggunakan fasilitas telepon umum juga, sehingga mungkin pembicaraan kita akan didengar oleh orang lain. Namun dengan Handphone kertas ini kita dapat bertelepon ria sambil terus berjalan kemana saja dan kita dapat menjaga keprivasian pembicaraan kita tanpa dapat didengar orang lain. Inilah salah satu keunggulan yang ditawarkan produk Paper Public Handphone ini.

Terus berapa durasi kita dapat berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan Handphone kertas ini?? Kita dapat menggunakan Handphone kertas ini untuk berkomunikasi maksimal selama 30 menit. Apabila kita ingin menggunakan Handphone kertas ini lagi, kita harus mencetak Handphone kertas yang baru dari mesin pencetaknya. Kemudian Handphone kertas yang sudah kita pakai dan habis durasi komunikasinya cukup kita buang ke tempat atau tong khusus menampung Handphone kertas yang tidak terpakai lagi tersebut. Handphone kertas tersebut kemudian nantinya akan didaur ulang untuk dijadikan Handphone kertas yang baru lagi. Jadi Handphone kertas yang tidak terpakai ini tidak akan merusak lingkungan layaknya kertas tulis yang sering dibuang sembarangan dan mengotori lingkungan.

Begitulah sedikit gambaran design dari Nanotechnology yang ingin saya ‘telurkan’. Sederhana dan simple memang, tapi mudah-mudahan berguna untuk perkembangan teknologi di dunia. Hehehe..
